Standing Rib Roast

An amazing recipe we have worked on a few times. You must have a thermometer to help you keep track of the internal temperature. The oven will smoke a lot in the beginning.

  • Roasting pan with Rack

Ingredients

Create Rub

  • 2 T Rosemary - Fresh
  • 2 T Parsley - Fresh
  • 2 T Oregano - Fresh
  • Kosher Salt
  • Pepper - Fresh ground
  • ΒΌ C Bacon Fat cold
  • 4-5 Cloves Garlic - Fresh minced

Instructions

  • Roughly chop all the fresh herbs
  • Mixed into the bacon fat
  • Cut the rib bones off the rib
  • Salt and pepper meat
  • Put a good amount of the herb mixture all over the meat
  • Tie the rib bones back onto the meat
  • Place on the Roasting Rack and put in Oven
