Standing Rib Roast
An amazing recipe we have worked on a few times. You must have a thermometer to help you keep track of the internal temperature. The oven will smoke a lot in the beginning.
Equipment
- Oven
- Roasting pan with Rack
Ingredients
Create Rub
- 2 T Rosemary – Fresh
- 2 T Parsley – Fresh
- 2 T Oregano – Fresh
- Kosher Salt
- Pepper – Fresh ground
- ¼ C Bacon Fat cold
- 4-5 Cloves Garlic – Fresh minced
Instructions
- Roughly chop all the fresh herbs
- Mixed into the bacon fat
- Cut the rib bones off the rib
- Salt and pepper meat
- Put a good amount of the herb mixture all over the meat
- Tie the rib bones back onto the meat
- Place on the Roasting Rack and put in Oven
